Call for Papers: Information

IFEAT invited industry professionals, academics, researchers, and stakeholders to submit proposals addressing contemporary challenges, advancements, and innovations in the sector. Submissions focusing on sustainable practices and global perspectives were especially encouraged. The call for papers closed on Wednesday 12th March.

Presentation Proposal Guidelines

We welcome proposals for scientific, technical, commercial, or economic presentations, including lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. Presentations will last 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions (20 minutes total). All presentations must be in English.

Each presenter may submit up to three proposals. Proposals should highlight how the presentation will be engaging, informative, educational, and relevant to the essential oils and aroma trades industry. 

Presentation Proposal Guidelines for Optional Presentation Formats

To enhance audience engagement and foster dynamic discussions, we encourage speakers to explore innovative presentation formats. 

In addition to traditional lectures, the following formats are welcome:

  • Video Demonstrations: Share pre-recorded videos showcasing practical applications, production processes, or case studies to complement your presentation.
  • Interactive Q&A Sessions: Dedicate more time to a live Q&A segment, allowing the audience to delve deeper into your topic and exchange ideas.
  • Panel Discussions: Collaborate with other experts to deliver a joint presentation on related topics, offering diverse perspectives.
  • Workshops: Conduct hands-on or interactive sessions that involve the audience directly, providing practical insights and learning opportunities.

If you wish to propose an alternative format, please include a detailed description of your idea in your submission. We aim to create an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees.

Required Documents

  1. Abstract/Proposal (max 250 words): Clearly outline the purpose, methods, key findings, and relevance to the conference theme. We encourage you to include visuals and/or charts.
  2. Brief Biography (1–2 paragraphs, max 100 words): Include previous speaking engagements, if applicable.
  3. Contact Information: Full name, organisation, job title, and contact details.
  4. Photograph: A high-resolution headshot (min. 1MB; JPEG/PNG format preferred)
